Mississippi Mud Bars

1 cup butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

1 ½ cups all purpose flour

4 large eggs, slightly beaten

½ cup cocoa

1 cup chopped pecans, divided

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup mini chocolate chips

½ teaspoons salt

1 container marshmallow crème

 

Combine sugar, flour cocoa, baking powder, salt.  In a large bowl, add butter and eggs, stir til smooth.  Stir in ½ cup pecans.  Pour into greased and floured 13x9x2 pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min until toothpick comes out clean.  Remove from oven, spread marshmallow crème on top let stand five minutes.  Sprinkle chocolate chips and remaining pecans over evenly.  Cool completely and cut into square.  2 dozen bars.
